Regulatory & CSA Z662-19 Pipeline Systems Code Requirements
Two Day Course (1.6 CEUs)
Objectives
This is a course to provide the basic understanding of the regulatory requirements and the standard CSA Z662 Pipeline Systems. Updates from the new 2019 version of the code are NOW included. Code requirements for fabrication, inspection and testing in accordance with CSA Z662 for new construction, and post construction repairs and maintenance work will be presented. There will be a brief introduction to CSA Z662 design considerations, CSA, ASTM, and API material standards, and welding qualifications. An important part of achieving these objectives is to understand the jurisdictional requirements such as the provincial pipeline acts and regulations. The jurisdictional boundaries between ABSA and AER will be discussed. Practical field examples will be discussed.
