Regulatory & ASME B31.3-21 Process Piping Code Requirements

Two Day Course (1.6 CEUs)

Objectives
This is an introductory course to provide the basic understanding of the fabrication, inspection and testing portions of ASME B31.3 for construction. Updates from the new 2021 version of the code are NOW included. An important part of achieving these objectives is covering the Provincial Regulations that ABSA, TSASK or BCSA administers. The regulatory forms for design registration, completion of construction, data reports, and others will be reviewed. The course also includes an introduction to ASTM material standards and a brief introduction to ASME Section IX – Welding Qualifications. The jurisdictional boundaries between pipeline and facility pressure piping will be addressed. Practical field examples will be discussed.
