Acuren Nuclear Services (ANS) was proud to Sponsor and Host the “Support the Women’s Center” event on January 25^th, 2018 at the Highview Food & Drink.

Keynote Speaker, Denise Freeman, Board Chair of the Women’s Center Grey and Bruce, bravely captivated the audience with an impactful and intimate speech. Thank-you Denise, for reminding all of us how every contribution is a gift of hope for our neighbors, friends and colleagues in need of the Women’s Center.

Through the generosity of all sponsors and attendees $8000.00 was raised to support this not-for-profit organization and bridge funding shortfalls. Third party funding enables the Women’s Center to continue to provide safe second stage housing and resources to Women and Children escaping domestic violence.

Event speakers also included Mike Benham, General Manager of Acuren Nuclear Services, Mike Smith Mayor of Saugeen Shores and Mike Rencheck, President and CEO of Bruce Power attending with Carol Rencheck. ANS would like to thank each of you for bringing awareness to this cause.

The raffle prizes for the evening were generously donated from community businesses: Eye Candi Décor, Mettawave Yoga and Wellness, Revolution Salon & Spa, Outlaw Brew Co. and Bruce Power. A special thanks to a few sponsors who donated above and beyond for this event including Bruce Power, OCNI, Tetra Tech, Promation Nuclear, SNC-Lavalin Nuclear and Kinectrics, as well as Mike and Carol Rencheck.

A big thanks to all of the members of the Women’s Center for their resilience and belief in community as well as Design Doll, Highview Food & Drink, the town of Saugeen Shores and County of Bruce  for helping ANS build a successful event.

Given the outpouring of community support, ANS made a commitment to make the event an annual one!
