How Acuren Is Supporting Asset Performance in Atlantic Canada at Energy NL 2026 and TechWave

Atlantic Canada continues to be one of the most challenging operating environments in the country. The region is balancing aging infrastructure, demanding marine conditions, new energy investment, and the need to keep critical assets productive without driving unnecessary downtime. That is exactly why events like the Energy NL Conference matter. They create a useful place to talk about the challenges operators are facing and what practical solutions are ready to be applied in the field.

This year, our team is approaching the Energy NL Conference and our St. John’s TechWave as connected events. From June 2 to 4, Acuren will be at the Energy NL Conference focused on awareness, regional visibility, and conversations that matter to asset owners, engineers, and operations teams across Atlantic Canada. On June 5, we will build on that momentum as we host a TechWave show at our office in St. John’s. At this event we can spend more time showing how our teams support and optimize asset decisions on return to service, replace or repair through our understanding of inspection and fitness for service evaluation. Our aim is to lower our customers’ costs to operate through engineering, inspection planning, evaluation, and remediation for the complete lifecycle of assets.

The conference gives us a chance to tell the Acuren story. TechWave gives us room to go deeper. Together, they reflect what our business is trying to solve for clients: integrated support that helps them see issues earlier, plan work better, reduce exposure, execute with more confidence and optimize the value you realize from your assets.

What We Are Highlighting in Newfoundland and Labrador

Reliability engineering is a big part of the conversation around optimizing the value you realize from your assets. In many Atlantic Canadian facilities, the challenge is not a lack of effort. It is difficult to make the right decisions early enough to avoid unplanned work.

Our reliability engineering team helps clients connect inspection data, maintenance priorities, condition-based monitoring, and asset performance so they can focus time and capital where it matters most. Better reliability is not theory. It is better visibility into asset health, better prioritization, and better asset decisions. Innovated solutions to real problems – like testing bollard integrity through modal analysis.

Infrastructure Remediation and Asset Life Extension

We are also highlighting infrastructure remediation and asset life extension. Across the region, owners are looking at corrosion, degradation, deferred maintenance, and the cost of replacing versus repairing critical systems.

Acuren supports that decision making with inspection, engineering, remediation, and project management. Whether the issue is structural, mechanical, coatings, or tied to localized damage, the goal is the same: define the risk, understand the repair, and complete it to keep assets operating safely and efficiently.

Advanced Nde and Inspection Planning for Shipping and Access Optimization

Advanced NDE remains a major part of that value proposition. In Atlantic Canada, where logistics, vessel schedules, offshore timing, and site access can all affect cost and schedule, inspection planning matters as much as the method itself. Our team is focused on NDE solutions that support smarter access decisions, helping clients reduce unnecessary mobilization, shorten windows in the field, and get higher-value inspection data. That includes phased array ultrasonics, eddy current, digital radiography, and other advanced imaging tools that improve decision quality without defaulting to overly invasive approaches.

Modern Mitigation Technology: Laser Ablation and Composite Wraps

We also want to show where modern mitigation technology is making a practical difference. Laser ablation is one example. It offers a more precise, controlled option for surface preparation and coating removal in applications where cleanliness, containment, and substrate protection matter. Composite wrap solutions are another area of growing relevance, particularly when clients need engineered repair options that help extend service life, manage defects, and support continuity of operations. Used correctly, these are practical tools that can improve how remediation work is planned and executed.

Geospatial, Survey, Drones, and High-End Lidar Mapping

Digital field intelligence is another important part of the story. Acuren’s geospatial, survey, drone, and laser scanning capabilities give owners a better way to capture site conditions, document assets, and plan work before crews mobilize. High-end LiDAR mapping and digital site capture can support infrastructure planning, engineering inputs, access reviews, and change detection. In complex facilities or remote environments, better data upstream can reduce rework, compress schedules, and improve execution downstream.

An Integrated Model That Fits Atlantic Canada

Acuren turns asset data into safer, more reliable, longer-lasting performance. As such, the integrated services model matters. Operators do not need a collection of disconnected services that require multiple touchpoints and increase project risks. They need partners who understand the operating environment, can bring the right mix of inspection, engineering, remediation, access support, and digital tools, and can scale the response to the problem in front of them. That is why we are showing these capabilities together at both events.

Why These Events Matter for the Region

The Energy NL Conference is important because it brings industry together around the future of energy, infrastructure, operations, and investment in the province. For Acuren, it is an opportunity to connect with customers, listen to their needs, and learn. Our goal is to help clients protect and extend the life of their assets, improve safety and reliability, and execute work more effectively.

St. John’s TechWave matters because it turns that conversation into a more practical, hands-on discussion around capability, application, and regional support.

Atlantic Canada has complex assets, demanding environments, and meaningful growth opportunities. It also has an increasing need for practical partners who can connect technical depth with field execution. We are looking forward to being part of both conversations.

Join Us at St. John’s TechWave

If you are attending the Energy NL Conference, we invite you to continue the conversation and attend St. John’s TechWave on June 5. TechWave is where we will expand on the themes above and give clients, partners, and industry contacts a closer look at how Acuren supports reliability, advanced inspection, remediation, access, digital capture, geospatial services, and integrated industrial execution across Atlantic Canada.
