Catherine A. Noble, P.E. is a materials engineer, working with the Austin group for 16 years, conducting failure analyses and on-site inspections in several industry sectors, including utilities, pulp & paper, manufacturing, and other commercial industries. She is currently part of the AMPP committee tasked with reviewing and updating the NACE Standard “Prevention, Detection, and Correction of Deaerator Cracking,” and recently served on the committee that revised and updated the TAPPI Tip on Continuous Digesters.
Prior to Acuren, Catherine worked at TRI Austin, a polymer and composite company conducting DOD research, and also spent several years performing failure analysis and R&D for aerosol can manufacturer Ball Corporation in Chicago. She is a Professional Engineer registered in six states, including Texas and Washington. She earned her B.S. from Rice University in 2000 and her M.S. from Northwestern University in 2002, both in Materials Science & Engineering.
An Austin native and long-time resident, Catherine relocated to the Seattle area in 2018, where she works remotely but misses the plentiful sunshine and delicious Tex-Mex.
