Corrosion Engineering

Corrosion attacks valuable industrial components daily. The cost of preventing or repairing this damage is hundreds of billions of dollars annually in the US and Canada. Acuren helps control and circumvent corrosion losses with expert guidance and cost-effective recommendations.

Acuren’s corrosion engineers have specialized training in metallurgy, chemistry and corrosion engineering, and are experienced with pulp & paper, oil & gas, industrial and atmospheric corrosive environments.

This multi-disciplined approach, supported by fully equipped corrosion laboratories, enables Acuren to guide clients in controlling all aspects of corrosion.

Our staff works with clients to custom design testing which is completed in our fully equipped corrosion laboratories utilizing autoclaves, Avesta cells, and standard NACE cells for simulated service tests.

Our corrosion engineering services can identify and help prevent corrosion mechanisms which cause component failure, e.g. general corrosion, pitting, crevice corrosion, corrosion fatigue, or stress corrosion cracking. Acuren is a member of NACE to help track trends and issues in preventing industrial corrosion.
