A global chemical company has selected Acuren’s BEAM, as their system to support their global boiler maintenance programs. BEAM is built on the .NET platform allowing for remote analysis and ready integration to client data management systems. BEAM features of ease of use, and readily customizable reporting and analysis tools are a proven asset for broad deployment across multiple plant operations. BEAM software was further customized for individual plant compliance protocols  and translated to the various plant’s local languages. BEAM is used in hundreds of process and power generation plants throughout throughout the world.

Acuren's sister company, Sperry Rail supports Chilean mine safety. Sperry recently commissioned a 950 ultrasonic rail flaw inspection Vehicle for non-stop track inspection. The vehicle configuration incorporates client’s automated train control system, and Sperry's rail flaw detection and data analysis tools. As part of this relationship -- Sperry is providing operator training, track defect standards and will provide ongoing maintenance and support. Sperry’s non-stop testing minimizing track possession for maintenance and repairs – improving both system operating performance and test frequencies.

Husky Oil’s Lima, Ohio refinery has recognized Acuren for seven years and over 500,000 hours of injury free work.  Per Bill Heinemeier, Husky’s Reliability Superintendent, “This can only be accomplished by having a daily focus on safety. It is proof that safety can be maintained in a harsh and difficult work environment while working in all kinds of weather, in confined spaces, climbing, working at elevated heights, carrying equipment through pipe racks, operating JLGs and scissor lifts, maintaining radiation barriers and generally by staying focused on safety.”  He further noted that Husky will continue to promote safety in all they do through innovative thinking.

The Houston Business Roundtable honored Acuren with its 2011 Acuren has received the 2011 Silver Safety Award. The award follows a five month audit process that compares safety practices among over 500 contractors in the Gulf Coast Area. Acuren was nominated by a refinery client following being noted by the client as their top ranked Specialty Contractor Technical Support provider at their facility.   According to Rickey Northern, Regional Director of Safety and Radiation Safety for the Southwest Region, "We are proud and honored by this recognition by the Houston Business Roundtable.     Our commitment to safety is unrelenting and begins with a senior manager meeting every new employee to review and emphasize eAcuren's safety expectations and the importance of every employee towards our goal of an injury free workplace." Acuren's Water Tank Services Division (formerly Extech) has been working with local agencies in Anne Arundel County and Frederick County, Maryland to robotically inspect and clean six concrete underwater storage tanks and 24 water storage tanks.  Both agencies use:  TankRover, Acuren’s submersible remote operated vehicle (ROV) for ultrasonic measurements and close-up visual inspection, and RoboVac an ROV cleaning vehicle that allows or cleaning and removing sediment without taking  water storage tanks offline in order.  Inspecting and cleaning tanks robotically permits significant savings in time, manpower, inspection cost and water – and are successfully used examining hundreds of industrial and municipal water and waste storage tanks annually.
