Acuren's Water Tank Services Division (formerly Extech) has been working with local agencies in Anne Arundel County and Frederick County, Maryland to robotically inspect and clean six concrete underwater storage tanks and 24 water storage tanks.  Both agencies use:  TankRover, Acuren’s submersible remote operated vehicle (ROV) for ultrasonic measurements and close-up visual inspection, and RoboVac an ROV cleaning vehicle that allows or cleaning and removing sediment without taking  water storage tanks offline in order.  Inspecting and cleaning tanks robotically permits significant savings in time, manpower, inspection cost and water – and are successfully used examining hundreds of industrial and municipal water and waste storage tanks annually.
