Acuren is the integration of the skills and resources of Longview Inspection, Inc., Canspec Group Inc., and Bacon Donaldson under a single brand name as of September 1, 2005.
As of this date, Longview will be renamed Acuren Inspection, Inc., providing materials testing and inspection services through 34 locations in the US, with regional headquarters in Houston, TX, Charleston, SC, and Brookfield (Milwaukee), WI.
Canspec will be renamed Acuren Group, Inc., and will continue to provide materials engineering and testing services through 28 locations throughout Canada, with regional headquarters in Oakville (Toronto), ON, Edmonton, AB, and Richmond (Vancouver), BC.
The Acuren companies are subsidiaries of Rockwood Service Corporation, headquartered in Greenwich, CT. Sperry Rail, Inc., a leading provider of rail flaw inspection services to the world's railways, is also a Rockwood subsidiary. Sperry operates more than 90 inspection vehicles throughout the US, Canada, Mexico, Europe and Asia. Sperry's headquarters are in Danbury, CT and Derby, England.
